I realize this is old, but it is still applicable today and I figured it would be a good refresher of the danger we face when placing things in the hands of the state.

Communism is just another form of slavery in which the slave is provided work, housing, food, education, medical care and retirement -- but at the price of freedom.
This needs to be repeated constantly. There are a few on this site that are okay with this. Sad times indeed.
