STURGIS, S.D. (AP) -- Republican John McCain has gotten an approving roar from the thousands gathered at the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally in South Dakota.

He mentioned how Democrat Barack Obama was cheered by a large crowd recently during his speech in Berlin. McCain told the Sturgis crowd, "I'll take the roar of 50,000 Harleys any day."

This is a good visual. Fighter pilot John Wayne McCain gets a roar.

It is inconceivable that Obama could address Sturgis.
He would face complete silence if not shouts of derision.

Having been to Sturgis, I note the most common shirt or patch is probably the “POW/MIA” “you are not forgotten” patch.

All other problems with McCain, this is an area where he is pretty good.

I don’t think Obama would feel welcome or comfortable in Sturgis.

After all the derision they have suffered from the Left over the years, Vietnam vets deserve one of their own as President — even if they don’t always agree with him.

Cindy looked great! She wore her platinum blonde hair down with tight jeans, boots and a jean shirt... hope that helps with a visual. ;)

From blackie's link above, McCain said he wanted Cindy to enter the Miss Buffalo Chip contest which is held at the event. LOL

McCain joked that he wanted her to enter the beauty contest held at the site, the Buffalo Chip campground on the edge of town.

"I told her with a little luck, she could be the only woman ever to serve as both the first lady and Miss Buffalo Chip," McCain quipped.

“John McCain was in Vietnam?”

Yes, interesting how a guy who had his face bashed by commie guards is not treated like hero John Kerry, nor feels the need to mention it every 20 seconds.

"As you may know, not long ago a couple hundred thousand
Berliners made a lot of noise for my opponent. I'll take
the roar of 50,000 Harleys any day,"

Tell em' to come back and get to work," McCain said,
yelling into the microphone. "When I'm president of the
United States, I'm not going to let them go on vacation.
They're gonna become energy independent"

So, John McCain puts his seal of approval on the debauchery, public nudity, and drunken brawls that characterize the Sturgis event. This further erodes any claim McCain may have had to the moral high ground and demonstrates his lack of a moral compass.

If you don't believe me about Sturgis, just go to Google Image Search and turn off the Safesearch option. Warning, many of the images are very NSFW. Look at some of the YouTube videos as well. Also, check the numbers of arrests at Sturgis each year. Last year there were over 200 drug arrests alone during the rally. This is not just a clean little get-together for motorcycle enthusiasts - not even close.
