And, furthermore, when you are adopted, the original is sealed. Its apparent he was adopted under the Soetero name, but he prefers the Obama name. Which doesn't explain why he doesn't simply request the original birth certificate be "unsealed" if its possible to do it.
As others have said, there is only innuendo that he may have been born overseas, and since his mother is a citizen, it may not matter. Which then provokes the question, why the phony birth certificate if it wasn't necessary?
In a lot of cases, the cover-up is worse than the thing it covers up. This may be that case. I suspect that if he accepts Clinton help, this all goes away.

If you can hang on him the fact he a) forged public documents. B) lied to the American people. c) Concealed his true upbringing. Then you have a good case that he's risky, and just not trustworthy.
There is a theory that he was born here but his original birth certificate is sealed because it was reissued under the name Soetero when he moved to Indonesia with his mother and step father. The re-issued certificate may list him as Muslim.
Whatever the truth is, there appears to be a bunch of concealment and shenanigans going on her that need the disinfectant of the clear light of day.
And Obama ain't providing it.
You can be a dual citizen and your children can be, but I don’t think they can be President.
If Obama is a dual citizen, he has done nothing wrong with regards to that. He is entitled to it, but can he be President. That is the question.
It was a “tribal” marriage to his first “wife”. If he had a tribal marriage, it was most likely an Islamic marraige since he was Islamic. That being said, why would he have to do anything with the first wife just for taking on a second?

Why don't you think that? Is there anything in Article II, Amendments XII or XXII, or anywhere else in the Constitution, that supports this view?
my biggest question is not where he was born, but where he was raised. Did he spend more time outside of the US or in. And it wasn’t because of the military, I can understand them being outside. He isn’t even the official nominee and he is already racking up the frequent flyer miles.

My father was born at home and all he needed was the signatures of his parents and the neighbor who came to help as a witness. The state accepted this 20 years later when he joined the army and needed a birth certificate.
They will be natural-born citizens of the US. They will also be Canadian citizens from birth by virtue of the fact that I am a Canadian citizen (though Canada has no concept of natural-born citizen- naturalized Canadian citizens can run for any political office), but that isn't relevant to their eligibility to be President of the US. There is no Constitutional impediment to dual-citizens running for any public office.

I don’t think he even has to do that. All he has to say is the truth: I was born “barack h. obama”, but my name was changed when I was adopted. I prefer my birth name. Then he could say that the forgery was concocted by some of his overzealous supporters, blah, blah. blah...
This would vanish overnight.
I haven’t read all the posts yet, but has anybody addressed the fact that Maya Soetoro was born in Indonesia? Why would she have a Hawaiian birth certificate?

I guess it would depend on where he was married. Are Muslims who already have wives and families in other countries allowed to come here and marry American citizens? I'm not sure what the laws here are, or what they were back when Barry's parents claim they were married. Nobody really knows if they every actually married, do they?
My suspicion is that she's out there in the background. This is just a taste of whats coming Obama's way if he doesn't accept her help. If he accepts her on the ticket, all this goes away and within a flash everyone agrees this was all a bunch of hokum, just right-wing black-helicopter stuff.
If he doesn't accept her help, the pressure ratchets up until he does.
That issue becomes moot doesn't it once it is revealed that he is complicit in the forging of a public document, lying to the American people, and concealing his true identity.
Who is going to give power to someone like that?
