It seems to me that someone among the Dems (Clintons?) has the goods on GWB. He has not taken a stand on anything meaningful in some time, and will not even defend his record verbally, even when misrepresented in the most vile manner. He seems like a blackmail victim.
This oil issue is one where the Republicans could make real headway against the Dems, and calling Congress back into session would sure shine a spotlight on it.
I missed that (great line) but did hear him shouting about drilling now, drilling now! Of course, the Judge had to play it down and announce that for 25 years McCain was against drilling. Sometimes the “fair and balanced” act can make me scream.
Bush (43) like his father(Bush 41)before him is often times disengaged from events around him. Opportunities come his way and they're ignored ... this will be another lost opportunity.

I called Hensarling’s office on Friday and they implied he was on vacation with his family. He must have canceled it to be there. He always makes the right move for the people he represents.

While the concept of him voting is certainly novel, if he has any saavy at all he'd re-route that campaign trail across the floor of Congress. He needs to show his face.
Most people that work full time are at work, at least, that length of time every year.

I don't think that's it. I think GWB doesn't want to interfere with the legislative branch, and would rather let SanFranNan twist in the wind of public opinion.
