Come on. The best thing we can do is ignore this. The chosen one may win 10 states tops.

Do we really want to face Hillary as the nominee? And if this story is true, don’t you think the Clintons will break it a week before the convention or better yet, a week or two before the election?

The Clinton machine said there was a suprise. Going public with this 2-3 weeks before the election practically guarantees that Hillary is shielded from any scrutiny while her convention speech is hailed as an act of courageousness.

Watch... Hillary will be sitting in the Whitehouse in 2009.

I think it’s too late for Hillary (presuming McCain lives through election day). I think she would have been tough to beat as the regular nominee, but as a last-minute substitution on a technicality? No, McCain is too acceptable to too many for that. I just wouldn’t want to see McCain borrowing any airplanes from Hill’s campaign!

STOP IT!!!!! REPEAT THIS 20X! Hiltlery needs the Bambi cultists and blacks and would lose a fair percentage of them if he is not "The One", for any reason whatsoever.

“Watch... Hillary will be sitting in the Whitehouse in 2009”

Perhaps this is the _real_ reason why Obama doesn’t want Hillary as a VP candidate.

She would have the ambition to be president.
She would have the knowledge and evidence to prove he was unqualified.
And she (and Bill) would have the will to “move” on him.

And - even if she chose not to make that move - Obama would always be under their influenece, knowing they had the goods against him....

I’m torn on that count. Ordinarily I think Hillary is a much worse opponent- if she had been the nominee from the get-go. But a large part of me believes the Dem train has left the station with Obama on it, and there is no turning back. Dem turnout for Hillary may be even worse than Obama if the nutroots throw in the towel and abandon the Dems altogether, and the middle ground votes mccain or not at all..
