You write very well

I know. Anyway, enjoy the view from the sidelines. It's ok. Self-government doesn't require that EVERYONE participate. We'll survive without you. Have a great day!

“We are a RINO forum now, didn’t you get the memo?”

Now your denigrating the Free Republic as a ‘RINO forum’? Why, because we don’t support Ron Paul..er...I mean Bob Barr?

You know something, I want to be fair here.If McCain had a total, real, genuine, rock solid, for-real 180 degree epiphany, actually renounced all his group gropes across the aisle to the Dems, the Shamnesty, fired Hernandez, etc. etc., and was reborn as a CONSERVATIVE, I could see some rationale for a Conservative for joining him.

But he has done NONE of those things. Yet Conservatives here on FR and elsewhere are all supposed to put on the RINO burqa and go over the cliff en-mass with the RINO in the lead.

Sad.

Not this conservative.

Thanks AmericanInTokyo. I strongly disagree with your approach to this election. I meant what I wrote, not as any insult, although I do speak with an edge, but as my true thoughts for whatever they are worth. You seem quite entrenched though. Anyway, thanks for taking my thoughts with good cheer.

Yes, it will take a lot to dislodge me.

Such as McCain choosing a solid, 100% ACU rated running mate, and then McCain getting a doctors report after the convention forcing him to pullout from consideration. If his name were on the ballot under those circumstances, I suppose I would pull the lever for old Scarface. But that's not going to happen. Peace.

Your Liberaltarian pal seems to be afraid to disclose which candidate he intends on voting for. In fact, out of the two candidates that have a chance of winning, he won’t even admit who he would rather see win. Perhaps you could demonstrate more bravery than your pal. Which third party candidate are you voting for, and given the fact that either McCain or Obama will win, which one would you rather see win? (The Paulistinians would rather see Obama win than McCain because Obama shares their views on such things like the Patriot Act and the War in Iraq, but many are afraid to admit this.)

Yes it is your right to vote for whomever you wish. Alright to use your analogy. This American living in the United States only has two viable beers to choose from. I don’t like the taste of either but if I have to live with one for four years I rather have Mccain than Obama.

RINO President + Liberal Congress + Liberal Senate = Gridlock at best but we don’t lose the Constitution and maybe not the Supreme court.

Very liberal President + Liberal Congress + Liberal Senate = Sorry but I cannot find a bright side. I even question if BHO is a Patriot. And you can forget the Supreme court and Constitution its gone.

We loose the border war no matter whom you or I vote for. But vote for whomever you wish it don’t matter it just a silly ole game.

You assume moi has decided. You will get your answer in due time. I have plenty of time to be lobbied by their supporters and examine their positions and platforms. After all, I have more choices than you impose on yourself. At any rate, I don't answer to you. Cant you read plain English? I told you I was not voting for either of the two Big Government, Open Borders liberals, you know, one of which you are voting for.

A patriot would do anything and everything to ensure his nation is not electing the Obamanation......

No matter how credible and sincere your thinking, your stance only aids that goal on behalf of the Messiah. While I am not enamored with McCain, I would at least rather see his judicial nominations then that of the bigoted, Marxist Obama...Bills can be rescinded, economic policy undone after four years of an Obamanation...the appointment of a Supreme Court judge must be lived with, the appeasement and support by an Obamanation for enemies could lead to wars that make the Iraq conflict look like peanuts.

Go ahead “patriot” stick to your determined ideological stance. Your support of a third party candidate will simply serve as support for Obama whether you wish to admit it to yourself or not. Even if I have to hold my nose to pull the lever, I will do what is needed to defeat the chosen one....and if you truly believe the potential of this nation to reject the Obamanation is not there, well, then you should certainly open your eyes because it is there. I myself with attempt to convince anyone and everyone I know to vote for McCain to keep that horrendous, ignorant, racist socialist and his wife out of Washington. I would hope the urgency in that alone would wake you up but I suppose not.

“50,000 Harleys equates to at least 50,000 voters. At least they CAN vote in November’s election. Not 200,000(?) Berliners. Let them cheer all they want. They don’t have voting rights on this side of the pond.”

Obviously, I get to this party a little late this morning. But hell yeah!!! Right on John. Damn, I just wished I had been there. Holy s#@# could you image obambi trying to talk to that crowd — and try and suggest some retarded BS like, wanna save some money — Inflate your tires...oh my God, they would still be laughing. Hell Yeah — right on!

My take is that we are screwed either way. We have a Democrat Socialist on the one hand and a Centrist Liberal on the other. Neither of these men will bring CONSERVATISM nor reverse the course our nation is on. They with both bring us down, and down we go indeed.

I at least will go down fighting and with principle. The basis of Conservatism in the first place is steeped in and premised on moral absolutes.

I would not say this if we only had the choice of two parties and two men on our ballots. In my state, I know I have more choices than just two.

Perhaps you could demonstrate more bravery than your pal.

There is little "bravery" in allowing oneself to be cornered by another.

Which third party candidate are you voting for...

I have to wait until I find out who will be on the Virginia ballot. If there is nobody satisfactory on the ballot, I will write in my vote.

...and given the fact that either McCain or Obama will win, which one would you rather see win?

That's not a fact; that's something you're supposing.

I honestly don't care, since either way we are going to take a lot of damage. If McCain can be sufficiently neutered on carbon credit trading and amnesty, it will be...bearable. As for Obama, he may be as incompetent and clueless as his fellow Rats in Congress, generating extreme public anger at the polls in 2010 and 2012.

So I will not be voting for Obama. Satisified? I cannot stand him. Nor can I stand McCain.
