Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger has proposed a temporary one-cent increase in the state sales tax for the next three years in exchange for long-term fixes he believes would solve the state's perennial budget woes, several sources familiar with the negotiations said Monday.
The governor's proposal comes as he and lawmakers are 35 days into the fiscal year with no approved spending plan.

That was my comment. This is what happens when you sell out your principles and nominate the “electable” candidate.
Well, some of the “stuff” that psuedo conservatives and RINO’s throw around on FR as having to do with “electable” candidates is really amazing and amusing!!! Some of it is down right snortworthy!!!
Oh sorry. I thought I was being taunted by another “pragmatist”. But now I realize who was making the comment so it makes more sense.
