Hollywood stars Ben Affleck and Matt Damon and their pregnant wives turned up at a Miami fundraiser for presumptive Democratic presidential candidate Barrack Obama on Saturday.

Both the couples attended the orientation at club 'Set' to pledge their support for Obama.

According to reports, the actors also delivered speeches from the stage.

"Jennifer Garner gave the first speech supporting Obama, and she was very witty, clever and funny," Peoples Magazine quoted a source as saying.

"She was followed by her husband Ben, then Matt Damon. The men gave serious political speeches on how the country needs change," the source said.

Best of friends, Damon and Affleck made it pretty evident that they are supporting Obama over McCain, as he is a deserving candidate and a man of principles, who would head the country towards righteousness.

"For a lot of reasons, but mostly because I don't like the path this country's on and if McCain is elected we'll be continuing down that same path," Damon said, when asked as to why he was supporting Obama.

The stars seemed to be in jolly good moods, and were friendly to all the guests.

Later, the stars left in a Limo to attend a party at Anthony Kennedy Shriver's Miami Beach home. (ANI)

Someone should have told B. Hussein to keep his RIGHT hand and arm at his side the entire time he was speaking before crowds in Germany.

That is a scary photograph. It’s spookily reminiscent of another celebrity megalomaniac. A man who, ironically enough, once came to power IN Germany... ...can’t think of his name right off...

...I’ll think about it some more and I’m sure it will come to me.

This is one reason Hollywood is losing money as they say they are...I can’t stand to watch these movies that have actors with all these political messages.

Good point.

I mean, if Leo were to support McCain, I might have to re-re-think my position.

I no longer buy movies that anti-American marxist air-heads make... and anyone supporting lurch or osamabama does not deserve the support of true Americans! They are now filed under “baldwin syndrome”.

Who cares? These Hollywood egomaniacs think that what they do and feel is important to others. The gall of that! Like they have such an impact on the public? It is pitiful, really, that they have to resort to making public announcements about their voting desires in order to get some PR! Even when they do some good deeds, it is all for the media attention. These people get so puffed up with themselves they can't imagine that others don't give a hoot what they do. Wonder if either of them has two solid thoughts that connect together on how to solve the oil crisis by drilling in the U.S. or how to deal with illegal immigration? They spend their days in million dollar homes, being catered to by servants, shopping at high-priced shops, being dressed in designer fashions, wearing Rolex watches, driving gas guzzling cars (sometimes several) - and then they presume to tell "us" - the public that we should vote for Obama because he will bring about change and make it better for the poor and middle class.

What, of all their material things are they going to give up when Obama (who also lives the same lifestyle as them) comes knocking with his socialist forces to take away from the rich? Will they make public announcements to support him then as their Mercedes is carried away and they have to take the bus! You know, the one Obama keeps throwing people under.

Well, that does it.

BANKING ON KERRY Actor Matt Damon tells Diane Sawyer tonight that supporting John Kerry was, "financially, the stupidest thing that [he] could do," but the election was about more than money.

..b-b-b-but she was witty, clever AND funny! Not just witty, not just witty and clever, not just clever and funny, not just witty and funny, but witty, clever AND funny! Somebody get my thesaurus and see whether in this context any of those words adds anything to any of those other words.

Really? "serious political speeches"? Did they follow a script?

Both of those idiots are big fans of Noam Chomsky and Howard Zinn. I think Chomsky was even a friend of Damon's parents, iirc.
