I would agree, but in reading the section in Article II section 3:
He shall from time to time give to the Congress Information of the State of the Union, and recommend to their Consideration such Measures as he shall judge necessary and expedient; he may, on extraordinary Occasions, convene both Houses, or either of them, and in Case of Disagreement between them, with Respect to the Time of Adjournment, he may adjourn them to such Time as he shall think proper; he shall receive Ambassadors and other public Ministers; he shall take Care that the Laws be faithfully executed, and shall Commission all the Officers of the United States.
Bold is mine. I'm not so sure $4.00 gas would be considered "extraordinary Occasions" and the language speaks of a disagreement between the Congress as a reason to convene them, which has not happened, both majorities are in complete agreement to screw the American public
Also, I would imagine the "rat" leadership would ask the SCOTUS to make a ruling on bush authority to do so, causing a constitutional crisis
I don't think Bush will do it for those reasons
*IF, we are going to truly defend Israel as her ally, we need to be able to supply our own domestic energy.
*IF, Iran does drop a nuke or worse nukes and Israel responds in kind, we MUST be ready domestically to deal with the energy crisis this will create.
Allies of islam have already aligned for these two scenarios and probably others which will reach to Nigeria and other oil supplying nations.
America without energy is a paper tiger. We will sacrifice, struggle etc. and then what? Democrats will tell us to “inflate our tires?”
No, these traitors to our National Security must be stopped. $4.00 gasoline is the tool to get the American people to act. There is a much more sinister picture than just gasoline. It is heating oil, it is natural gas, it is industry, economy, plastics, products, production, interstate transportation, and food.
I feel our country is in imminent danger both at home and overseas.
