Breaking - child is fine.Duh! Of course the child is fine - she's HIS child!
The only place that child will not be fine is in the clutches of the Family and Probate Court of Massachusetts.
I don't know what made my brother Clark do this, but I know that when justice is denied and your children are in danger, anything is possible.

So, do not diminish the importance of the risk when a parent takes a child without a legal right to do soDon't make the assumption that the "legal right to do so" in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts means dogsh*t.
Been there, done that.
Wait for the facts to come out.

In other words, he was a fraud and not who he claimed to be and when the wife found out, she divorced him.It took her 13 years to come to that conclusion?
She must be dumber than a Lifetime TV screen writer.

“I don’t know what made my brother Clark do this” you’re not sure of your brother’s last name? or did you mean in the sense that Kirk thought of Spock as a brother? (Whom Gods Destroy)

Either she was dumb and very gullible or he was very good at the art of deception. It could have been a combination of both. But it would seem a lot of other folks believed him too so she wasnt the only one to be duped.
And you are making the assumption that it took her 13 years to catch on when she might have caught on much earlier and for reasons yet unknown to us, may have taken longer to go through with a legal divorce proceeding.
Matters of the heart can be very complicated and love often trumps good reason. But who knows. It will be interesting to find out, now that hes in custody, who he really is and why he did what he did.

Once a woman says to you, “you will never see them again”, you become part of a brotherhood.
Especially if it happens in Massachusetts, where the game is rigged.

None of us knows the whole story. He could be a real creep or a child molester, or innocent.

Clark Rockefeller isnt his real name - his wife doesnt even know his name. It will be interesting what comes out about this guy - especially his past. His *WIFE* doesn't know his name? WTF was on the marriage certificate, anyway?
Brings to mind the quip from Diamonds are Forever:
"Hi, I'm Plenty."
"I'm sure you are."
"Plenty O'Toole"
"Named after your father, no doubt!"
Cheers!

His past visitations have been stormy enough that there was a court order requiring a social worker present whenever he saw his daughter. He arranged a meeting with said social worker and his daughter, for right on Boston Common in downtown Boston, in broad daylight. Understand the fellow is a Rockefeller heir and trust fund set type. He drove up to the appointed place in an SUV with darkened windows, got out, shoved the social worker to the ground, took the daughter, and drove off - with the social worker pounding on the windows. It was all over the news here in Boston. Then he fled the state with the child.
That as the man says is "the rest of the story" - or at least part of it.

agreed. ANd I think he is a bogus Rockefeller altho one does live in Baltimre.
To: buccaneer81
Disagree. We do not know what happened in this case as of now. We do know he is an imposter.
It is rare for a court to cut off all visitation without a good reason.
To: cajungirl
It is rare for a court to cut off all visitation without a good reason. In many courts, all it takes is the custodial parent's lies, such as the oft used, "I'm afraid of him and what he might do to "my" child."
There is no due process or Constitutional protection for the non-custodial parent.

“Every year there are up to a dozen instances where a father murders the child/children to take revenge on the mother. There was even an instance where the father took the children....”
Actually, this happened a few months ago right here in MD - Baltimore.
“Crazy” man murdered his 3 kids in Baltimore after kidnapping them from his (doctor, ironically pediatrician) wife in Monty Co. down the road. He didn’t want her to have them. And he really was “crazy”, it turned out.
