A jury trying three men accused of helping the 7/7 London bombers plan their attack has failed to reach verdicts.Waheed Ali, Sadeer Saleem and Mohammed Shakil visited the London Eye, the Natural History Museum and the London Aquarium while allegedly pinpointing potential targets during the trip seven months before the 2005 atrocity.
The trio, from Beeston, Leeds, stood trial charged with conspiring with the four bombers and others unknown to cause explosions between November 17, 2004, and July 8, 2005.
But following the three month trial at Kingston Crown Court, a jury of eight women and four men could not decide on their verdicts and have been discharged.

So, is this like a mistrial here and they will be retried?
...so they’re walking free?
Held in custody pending a re-trial.
Any ROPers on the Jury, I wonder?
Yep one must wonder about the makeup of the jury. But then again a VA jury could not find in itself to sentence the DC shooter to death. It seems the forces of evil may have to do more to civilization to get it to defend itself?
I think there were excellent reasons why President Bush wanted terrorists tried by military tribunals rather than civilian courts with juries. Too bad the British let political correctness put this case in a civilian court.
There WILL be a retrial.
Also, this case is more about not quite having the evidence to prove the prosecution case. The jury did ask for some time various questions of the judge on the available evidence, and what that meant to the prosecution case.
I get the feeling that they would have convicted had just a bit more evidence been presented.
There are very good reasons why people accused of a crime are tried by a jury of their peers, and not by an agent of the state.....
That does not apply to acts of war.
