WASHINGTON- To revolt against Congressional Democratic Leadership adjourning for the August district work period without taking action on energy legislation Congressman Terry (R-NE) will hold an ‘Energy Relief Rally’. The rally will be held on Tuesday, August 5th at 5:30pm on the southwest corner of 120th & Center.

“High gas prices continue to strangle Nebraska family budgets. Instead of dealing with the problem, the Leadership in Congress turned their backs on the American people. I am extremely angered and embarrassed by this decision. I have proposed an ‘American Made Energy’ solution to deal with America’s energy crisis. No more waiting, we must act now,” said Congressman Terry.

The public is encouraged to attend the rally to hear Congressman Terry explain his ‘American Made Energy’ plan and demand Speaker Nancy Pelosi bring meaningful energy solutions to the floor for discussion and vote.

Congressman Terry is calling on all Nebraskans to help send a strong and decisive message that we need a responsible energy plan now by saving their gas receipts for the month of August. Congressman Terry will personally deliver the receipts to Speaker Pelosi in September and demand she schedule a vote on a comprehensive energy plan immediately.

Please bring your receipts to the rally or drop them off at the District Office located at 11717 Burt Street, Suite 106 in Omaha, NE 68154.

some demochick was speaking on the senate floor - she had her sign showing that the republican plan would save 200,000 barrels - her plan to convert all cars to electric would save 2,600,000 - maybe they plan for a coupon (like the tv digital to analog) for conversion - who knows

the best news is that the voters are not buying into all the lame democrat explanations
