"What is the longest ever FR thread?" The maximum length supported by the software allows up to 65,535 posts. For internal reasons, John has restricted this to 65534.
For that reason, on the Original Undead Thread, Dead Corpse posted "the last post".
We were not the first to reach the limit.
On our second go at "hitting the wall", we ran into slowdowns in the system. The Moderators requested that we restrict the length of our threads, and we have done so since that time.
We now move the Undead Thread to a new thread every month. Currently, we're here.
