I just called their breaking news desk. The woman said “well, cameras aren’t allowed.”

This could get interesting, because I think the rule is that network cameras are not allowed on the floor WHILE THE HOUSE IS IN SESSION. The networks get their footage from CSPAN. If Bela Pelosi gaveled the House into adjournment, and turned off the CSPAN cameras, that rule may not apply.

Even better, why don't any of the House members get their OWN video cameras in there, and upload the videos onto You Tube. Forget the cell phone cameras; get some GOOD equipment in there!

FOX News was running cell phone video of someone speaking.

FReepers suggested it. In fact FReepers suggested that Congressmen could sneak in video cams and a short while later it was posted that a couple of them had tried but were stopped. FR made a hugh difference today. We hammered the line at the breaking news desk until they relented and started covering it. And they ended up giving it a lot of coverage.
