House Republicans are still there, raising cain- trying to get them to turn the lights back on and continue debating over drilling!!!

I just called and said "There's a Republican revolt going on int the House Chamber and I wasn't seeing much coverage of it." I got a run around on it. Was told several times "There are no cameras on now. Cameras are not allowed." I objected, politely, that the story could still be covered.
He seemed mildly irritated that I would question that and asked if I wanted to talk to (name garbled) and I said yes. Got a phone tree that led to leaving a recorded message. I did...
"There's a Republican revolt going on in the House Chamber. I understand that the cameras are turned off. You can still cover the story. Thank you."
When you have something to say that you’re really passionate about, it can be worth it.

So what? If we had any kind of Republican leadership in the House or Senate during those six years, they would have kept their members in session during the traditional summer recess, Thanksgiving, and Christmas to force a debate on the issue. In addition, this debate is not (or should not be) about ANWAR. It should be about the development and implementation of a COMPREHENSIVE ENERGY POLICY that includes ANWAR and offshore drilling, refining capacity, nuclear power, natural gas, coal, hydro, wind, solar, thermal, conservation, and R & D.

Additionally, we need some enterprising journalist to follow Pelosi around while she is on her ‘vacation’ and show Americans that she could care less about gas prices as she jet sets around her pampered lifestyle.
