Vote Both the passionate group devoted to nudging Barack Obama to pick one-time fierce rival Hillary Clinton as his vice presidential running mate is over.
Organizers Adam Parkhomenko and Sam Arora said they were ending their effort since all indications are Hillary would not be Obamas number two.
"Because it seems that Senator Obama has made his decision to offer the slot on the ticket to another candidate, we believe that continuing to ask him to pick Hillary is no longer helpful to our party's chances of winning in November," they posted on their website.
The writing on the wall for the two former Clinton staffers was when word came around that Obama had offered Clinton a prime-time speaking role on the second night of the party's convention in Denver next month.
Veep nominees nearly always speak on day three of the four day convention.

Maybe she’ll win Miss Congeniality.
“Maybe shell win Miss Congeniality.”
She’ll have to - John Edwards already has Miss Photogenic sewed up.
I am slowly but surely coming to the conclusion that the Clinton criminal cartel has met its match.
I Agree, I think Mrs. William clinton, has an ace up her sleeve to get the nomination.....clintons play dirty..
Lanny Davis had a piece in the online WSJ “Comments” saying why Hillary was the best choice for VP. Basically, she helped him the most vote wise.
Didn’t she say she would campaign as hard for him as she did for herself? LOL! Like anyone believed that one.
i’m sure I’m not the first to say this: You’re wrong.
It grows farther apart everyday, but some slick revelation wouldn’t surprise me. The whole party is a sham. Even some dems are starting to see it. Thinking outside the box takes time to learn.
I suspicion she was 'dis-invited' - I don't think the obamination wanted her turning any cameras away from him/
Nope... And remember both she, and Edwards (snicker), merely "suspended" their respective campaigns...

Yes, indeed...the convention should prove extremely interesting. Hillary laying low, Bill out of the country (apologizing to Africa), who knows what might happen in the next few weeks. Especially since we hear that the Secret Service is protecting Obama even more securely than the President of the United States. I’m going to Mass at the Abbey this am and will pray for the country. And McCain.
Thanks,
The Queen is still in the game.
Half the time, I backtrack on this longstanding (6-8 months) conviction of mine, that, regardless of the Media, the Polls, the actual official nominating process, that something will happen that will be so dramatic, and unprecedented, that, God forbid, the Dem Party support for Obama that seems to still be there, will recede and be withdrawn by the time of the Convention. Admittedly , it’s hard to visualize the exact scenario, and there are a number of more or less lurid ones to speculate on, but I truly feel the Dem Elders/Party Structure/Backroomers are having painful second thoughts about just what a foolish roll of the dice Obama was. And that leaves nobody but Hillary to turn to. I think the DNC would already be planning a graceful exit for Obama, and from Obama, but I don’t think they can figure one yet that won’t also spell the end of them as a Party, angering so many of “the faithful”.
