you must not believe much about history.

I don't "believe" anything without evidence.

Your religion of the scientific method cannot be used to verify history. What are you going to do?

And if you declare that you’ll believe historical facts by looking at evidence, you’re lying, because evidence in support of Christianity and the divine inspiration of the bible is sitting there for you to “investigate, then opine” on.

I'm curious about something: If you have evidence of something, but cannot demonstrate that evidence to anyone else, do you still believe it yourself? For example, say you saw a tree fall in your back yard because of a strong wind. And suppose that a Golden Eagle was perched in the tree as it went over. The bird flies away, the tree hits the ground. It is easy to prove the tree fell because there it lays. What about the presence of the eagle? What evidence other than your eyewitness testimony can corroborate the eagle? Then if you tell others about it, and they stiffly snif "prove it", what do you do? Do you change your mind and decide there was no eagle, or do you try to convince them?

I really am curious to know.
