Well, if the cops are going to make this kind of mistake I approve of them doing to elected officials and judges. Seems only fair.

That seems a strange way to deliver drugs. Perhaps it was a setup.

Easy mistake, they were probably supposed to serve a warrant at Marion Barry’s house.

Yeah, 32 pounds of pot showing up on your doorstep will make people think that of you. That’s a little more than a personal use amount.
I’m not keen on the trend of cops killing dogs in raids, though is it too much to ask that the WaPost determine the breed(s) of the dogs involved? It’s one thing if they were confronted with snarling rotties, another if a pair of couch potato Basset Hounds.

Ahh, it wouldn’t be a proper SWAT raid without dogs getting killed. I guess the Rambo wannabes have to take something out with their purty new toys.

32 pounds is a hell of a lot of weed to waste in a setup.

Everyone knows that drug dealers have giant commodes capable of disposing of 37 pounds of marijuana in one flush.
That, or flash incinerators. So the SWAT raid, as opposed to the knock and serve warrant, is a regrettable necessity. /s

they shot his 7-year-old black Labrador retriever, Payton, near the front door and then his 4-year-old dog, Chase, also a black Lab, as the dog ran into a back room. The dog is running AWAY and the bozo says his guys felt threatened? THEN they proceed to act like the KGB? *sigh*

The drug war certainly makes it easy to set up politicians that drug dealers don't like or have a disagreement with.
If this mayor is for legalizing drugs, then I would think a set up likely. If there is one thing drug dealers do not want, it is for drugs to be re-legalized.
To: Mr. Mojo
Did I miss the mayor's political affiliation???

They shot two Labs. One while it was running away to another room.
