This is one guy that should have went down a long time ago
DOJ presser scheduled within the hour.
The Dims and MSM will be singing about the “Culture of Corruption”
Time to take out the trash.
Bad timing since Obama is gasping for air with the bad polls, pressure to drill, wrong on the surge, lie about the leaked prayer, etc.
Let justice be done, no double standards.
Wasn’t there just a big bunch of indictments announced in Ohio, involving mostly Dems? Add this to the Ford problems in Tennessee, and (possibly) issues arising in NOLA, and you have the need to find a Republican bad guy for balance.
This guy Stevens came off as an out-of-touch clown a long time ago.
Ways are found to develop resources when resources are frozen. Unfortunately some politicians see this as an opportunity to get some bennies and other politicians see this as an opportunity to get into office themselves. One example is keeping ANWR closed to oil/gas leasing, but many other examples are all around the State.
I never liked this guy. I could tell that he was a greedy, corrupt scumbag.
US officials say the Justice Department has indicted Alaska Sen. Ted Stevens (R) on charges related to a long-running investigation of business dealings in Alaska.

The FBI, working with an Alaska oil contractor, secretly taped telephone calls with Sen. Ted Stevens as part of a public corruption sting it was reported late last year, according to people close to the investigation.
The secret recordings suggest the Justice Department was eyeing Stevens long before June 2007, when the Republican senator first publicly acknowledged he was under scrutiny. At that time, it appeared Stevens was a new focus in a case that had already ensnared several state lawmakers.

Stevens faces seven counts of false statements involving VECO, the oil services company in Alaska, and the renovations done on his home.
Good, what took them so long?
Now they just need to go after Obama, Clinton, and Reid for their under-the-table real estate shenanigans.
Too bad Robert K. Byrd can’t go down with him.
Dang. And here I was hoping to see him in concert performing his hit, “A Series Of Tubes.”

The primary is on August 27 (I think). Stevens’ only real opponent is this guy:

The Clinton hold-overs at Justice will have every elected Republican indicted by November.
Good, the US Attorney’s office should find and prosecute corruption in public officials no matter what party the wrong doer may belong to. We voters have to do our part and stop electing ones who we learn are tainted or who break their campaign promises to us.
