Chinese tailors run their own race for the summer games - to get the U.S. team's official uniforms ready for the opening ceremony.
In just over ten days, they need to deliver more than 1,800 of these Ralph Lauren designed outfits for the American team for the opening ceremony of the Olympics.

China produces nearly everything these days. Its remarkable considering just 30 years ago China had no presence at all on the world market.

Brand name merchandise is mass produced in China to keep costs low and it to make them more affordable.

FALSE!
How “affordable” is clothing that you have to replace year in and year out. I have some “MADE IN USA” Levis jeans that I purchased 20 years ago that are still in good condition. Try that with some of the “Made in Wherever” clothing sold today!

Yea, that makes it OK. As long as the globalists are happy.

I went to buy a flat iron at Macy's - The $50 one was made in China and was on sale for $24.95. The next one up was made in Germany and priced at $100. I didn't see anything made in the USA. So I bought the Chinese one, as I can't afford $100 to iron clothes.

“sell them enough rope and capitalists will hang themselves.” Lenin
Great quote. Seems as if the Chinese have taken it to heart.

I thought the quote was, “The capitalists are selling us the rope with which we will hang them.”

Clothes like that require Ralph . . . who?

yea well let me know how long the “MADE IN CHINA” iron lasts before you have to replace it...
Like my father used to say “buy cheap; get cheap”
BTW, ORECK makes a cordless iron MADE IN USA
true it’s $130 but you’ll probably only have to buy one in your lifetime.LOL
And if you check out some of the garage sales you just might find a used iron MADE IN USA that works fine and cheap!
I don’t claim to know all the answers BUT there is still pleenty of merchandise MADE IN USA and with the search engines it is easier than ever to find it.
And with a HALF BILLION DOLLAR TRADE DEFICIT,
Americans should be buying from people who keep them in business...and how many Chinese were shopping in your town today?
Not many, I trust.

I can expect “Made in China” on products purchased from Wallmart, Target, or Costco - BUT My best friend just returned from a vacation in Gettysburg, and with him he brings back for me a souvenir purchased from a Gettysburg Gift shop. An authentic looking confederate kepi cap. (I wanted a spent miniie ball), but that's OK. Inside the kepi, on the label - “made In China” How sad.

Yea, well just remember that you can find just about anything you need “MADE IN USA” off the Internet search engines.
