No chance he gets picked.

From Wikipedia:
“Tim Kaine has stated he has a “faith-based opposition to abortion”. [2] He also supports promoting abstinence and opposes partial-birth abortion.[3] Tim Kaine is a member of Democrats For Life of America.”

I have read that 40 percent of democrats oppose abortion. Also, I wonder if Tim Kaine would make the ticket palatable to voters opposing abortion. Especialy those who find McCain’s abortion stand a road block to support.

I agree with you. No chance.

The Democrat party is wholly owned by the abortion lobby. They were willing to allow it with Kaine because it allowed him to win a southern state. No way they let him go national with it (unless he flip flops at the last minute, which means the media will accuse anyone who brings it up of "swiftboating" him).

Those are all largely lies though. He promised to uphold a woman’s right to choose, and has done so consistantly as Governor. He cut the paltry abstinence budget in Virginia claiming it didn’t do any good, and whether he is a member of a “life” group or not he has been pro-choice.
