Although it’s nice to read an actor with a conservative bent once in a while, I want to know why he gets to have his piece in the Washington Times? I don’t like it when liberal celebrities get special treatment, and I don’t like it when conservatives do. Why is his opinion any more relevant than let’s say, MINE? Will the washington Post publish my opinion if I call them? I mean, who cares what John Voigt thinks, really? I know I am about to be flamed.
The paper is looking for some kind of a name draw “did you see the commentary BY...?”. Water cooler talk, talk radio talk, emails, etc...
It is unfortunate that the media lets some people have front of the line access to the soapbox even though their political views hold no more weight than “ordinary” Americans.
At least the views are being aired. And they don’t seem to be photocopied talking points.
It wouldn’t be so bad, Hildy, if the libs weren’t beating us to death in the media by a ratio of 100:1.
If it were an even playing field, things would be different. As it is, we’re lucky if we get even one supporter in Hollywood.
