The only line I need is whether or not I agree with what so and so says. If that is an actor so be it. If that person says something disagreeable you bet your bottom dollar one of my invectives will be shut up and sing/act/knit or what have you.

My point is that I wish Hollywood would stay out of politics altogether, unless they put their money where their mouth is and actually run for an office.
Robert Redford has not been to the Middle East supporting the troops.
Jon Voight has.
Robert Redford is a liberal, which IMO is the opposite of class.
Jon Voight is RIGHT, which IMO gives him clout.
Are you disappointed that this article was published? I would hope more right thinkers from Hollywood or anywhere else they may be popular would come forward as Jon Voight has, whether they run for office or not.

I think you should run for office, Hildy ~ I really do.
You have amazing connections and friends. You are clear and articulate, and you certainly have your hand on the pulse of how this country thinks and works.
You’re young enough to appeal to youth, yet you have remarkable wisdom and experience.
And you’re not afraid to tell it like it is.
You and Jon Voight have many of the same qualities.
