Although it is just a copy, Obama's birth certificate is invalid due to one simple fact -- it is incomplete. Without the certificate number, there is no way that it can be validated.
Such a certificate can have really be anything, including:
- Never having been a certificate at all
- Being dated long after the birth occurred
- Having a fraudulent certificate number
- Having a certificate number that is inconsistent with other information on the certificate
- Having a certificate number that invalidates the rest of the document (inconsistent with dates, etc.)
Why was this information blacked out?
Only Obama and perhaps his closest advisors probably know.
How could there be any danger in disclosing it?
If the number was valid, it would be tied to the original document that should agree with everything that is on the copy. Since Hawaii will only release this to the individual or the next of kin, there is nothing to be lost by providing this number.
Unless......you are hiding something, or something on the copy is inconsistent with the original.
Therefore, even with all the excellent work done by Techdude and others, the copy provided is invalid in that information, the certificate number, was removed by blacking it out. End of discussion.
My guess is that he wasn't born in Hawaii. It would then be risky to supply a number, because it might be invalid or conflict with someone else's. It would certainly be embarrassing if John Doe from Oahu put his birth certificate on the web with the same number as Obama's.
To me, the blacked out number is the strongest evidence that Obama wasn't born in Hawaii. Probably Canada.
Maybe that's why Hillary was telling Gov. Richardson "He CAN'T win"...

That would not matter, he can't have been born before it was an incorporated US territory. Like Goldwater, who was born in Arizona territory, before it became a state.
Now if he was born outside the US, and only his mother was a US Citizen, he may not be a *natural born* citizen, while being a citizen.
No his typical white person grandmother lived in Hawaii. The Indonesia connection came later, when his mother married her second Muslim husband, an Indonesian, and went home with him to live, but that was quite a bit after Barry was born, hatched or whatever.
We don't know, but if they were, it can't have been valid, since his father had another wife back home in Africa. He returned to her after dumping BHO's mother. He also took another "white" woman back with him, and married her there, where polygamy was and is allowed.
Unless of course they were married in Kenya or elsewhere where polygamy is legal. Then I don't know about the legitimacy of the marriage under US law.
Persons born in the territory of American Samoa are not US citizens, although they are US nationals.

Illegitimate, because Mama Obama was not legally married to Papa Obama. He was already married to a lady (possibly two) in dear old Kenya. That enabled her to get rid of the wife-beating drunkard in a hurry when she had to. So, the worst that could be said about BHO is that he is a a dual citizen of Kenya and the US, or at least eligible for Kenyan citizenship on top of his American status. Hell, this weird, sweet-talkin' Chicago commie race-pimp might even be a triple citizen, depending upon whether or not Mama Obama's replacement husband, the Indonesian Soetoro, adopted the cute little rascal.
The COLB could be phony as hell, but still quite beside the point.
For myself, I'm not convinced. It's to easy of an issue to settle for someone to obfuscate this long.

That's my thought as well. His birth certificate should be a complete non-issue, yet they open themselves up to all kinds of questions by not releasing it. If there wasn't something pretty damaging there, they'd have just released it, like everyone else on the planet.
Obama made his Birth Certificate an issue. By being far less than honest, and then releasing what is obviously a fake/engineered certificate, he just opens the door to questions.
Rather stupid.
But then again, apparently so are millions of Americans who literally worship him. I thought Clinton worship was terrifying... goodness, Obama worship is off the charts. It is one thing to admire or respect a candidate. But the LITERAL worship - I am listening for a trumpet to sound!
