Dutch author Leon de Winter talks with SPIEGEL about his new novel, which is set in 2024, the threats mounting against Israel and the assimilation of Muslims in Europe.
SPIEGEL: Mr. de Winter, your new book -- "The Right of Return" -- is a novel, but it actually describes a political vision. In the book, it is the year 2024, and Israel has shrunk to just a few square kilometers around Tel Aviv, which is surrounded by enemies. Are you simply playing with some ideas here or is this a serious prediction?
Leon de Winter: Both. Israel is menaced by two threats. On the one hand, by the hatred of its enemies, which today is primarily stirred up by Iran, and on the other hand, by the erosion spreading throughout Israeli society. There are three groups that have little in common: the Orthodox Jews, the Israeli Arabs and the secular Jews, who currently make up the majority of the population. But this majority is dwindling. The conflict between these three lifestyles is every bit as much of a threat -- if not even more dangerous -- to the existence of Israel as its outside menaces.

No, what’s going to end up happening is that war will break out all over Europe as the native Europeans clash with the fast-breeding Muslims and third-world immigrants bent on taking over. It’ll start off as riots sporadically and they’ll become more numerous, then it becomes full out warfare. We’ll see war in England, France, Spain, Portugal, Sweden, Norway, The Netherlands, Denmark, Germany and Italy. It’ll be called the multi-cultural wars.
Hopefully the Poles, Czechs, Fins and Russians help out. I can see the US gov clamping down on the native Europeans, bombing Europeans claiming they’re engaged in genocide. You’ll have Hollywood and the likes of Rev. Wright and Jesse Jackson going ape$h#! over the Europeans trying to stop the Muzzies and immigrants - demanding US forces counter the European nationalists.
Unfortunately, Europeans do not have the stomach to confront rioting “youths” in their countries. They are scared to death of them. I doubt they will fight for themselves.
Well it’s the same as in the US. You have half of the population who are pacifist mush-heads and then the other half are nationalist. I know the patriotic Europeans want to get these people out before the powderkeg explodes. But I think they fear the backlash of the UN and the US coming down on them like we did on Serbia trying to kick out the Muzzies. Heck, we’ve came down on the Russians for trying to handle their Muzzie problem.
But I think if the Europeans acted NOW - today, they could make it work as there’s no way the US population would support airstrikes and infantry forces to counter the European patriots.
Under Obama’s direction that would change though.

Here’s just one of the great exchanges between the wimpy reporter and De Winter...
SPIEGEL: The Europeans are trying to mediate in the conflict between Iran and the West. They keep returning to the negotiating table to prevent a possible nuclear threat against Israel…
De Winter: ... but what good does it do? Remember the so-called troika, the foreign ministers of Germany, France and the UK: Joschka Fischer, Dominique de Villepin and Jack Straw. They flew to Tehran and back, drank tea and coffee with Iranian politicians and negotiated over the Iranian nuclear program. Imagine that: three respectable European intellectuals negotiating with guys who grew up in the Tehran bazaar and would sell them their own watches! That’s the kind of results that it produced. They told us that they had pursued a constructive dialogue but had not yet attained their objectives, and so they said that negotiations had to continue … And these three educated, sensible, and critical European intellectuals went along with this! And then, in the fall of 2003 — in other words five years ago — they held a press conference: We’ve reached our goal! Actually, nothing has happened, no agreement, absolutely nothing.
Europe is decaying. Look at the once great Protestant Churches in England, Germany, Scandinavia, and the Netherlands. The pews are empty. Many of the people no longer care about their culture. Socialism destroys...

Yes, this exactly what “Diversity” and “Multi-culturalism” is all about.
It’s a tool that erases religious identity.
Why is it that back in 1950 you could say the US was a Christian nation. Why go back further and in many parts of the country if you didn’t attend Church people though something was wrong with you?
It’s because of demographic shifts. Flood the US with people who have their own religious beliefs and culture and guess what? You can no longer call yourself a Christian nation.
And the illegals aren’t a bunch of good Catholics either. If that were the case then Mexico would be a place where you could trust people without having to bribe everyone and worry about rampant theft. Plus their version of CAtholicism is coupled with Santeria and various “tribal” beliefs.

Likely the military or at least various units would help or smuggle weapons to the European patriots. Neighboring European countries could send in weapons.
Then of course there’s makeshift weapons, I’m sure many industrious Euro’s could create in the garages, then there’s hand to hand, bats, golf clubs, swords, pipes, rocks, etc.
I’ve heard that in the UK, that someone, either the immigrants or the English keeps stealing various materials that when put together could create a sort of crude firing weapon. Supposedly people in various areas are gearing up for a conflict.
Europe, and especially the UK, are our first 24/7/360* total surveillance Big Brother states. The security forces can squash mobs easily....if they want to. The muslims may rampage, but the security forces won’t allow groups of native Europeans to fight back. They would crush any such uprising. The powers that be would prefer a smooth transition to Sharia law.
There’s always been secret police and espionage and infiltration. But I don’t think it matters. If the patriots have resolve to fight then the liberal elite won’t be able to stop them.
The European police and military are of course overwhelmingly - European.
Compare that to the US.
Where a US soldier from inner-city Detroit might not have as much qualms about shooting rednecks in North Carolina.
That said a situation where militaries are called out against civilians will play out differently between Europe and the US.
The Chinese had to bring in troops from the country to put down the protesters in Tienanmen Square. The local generals bulked at the idea as they and their troops were from the area. The troops from the country had no problems running over city folks with tanks.
