The MSM is almost totally corrupt.....be it by ideology or actual monetary payoffs there’s not much chance of either candidate being asked ANYTHING that might require an answer they do not want to give.

Most of the media are cheerleading for Barry....2008 will be remembered as the year even the pretense of objectivity fell away.

Like everything else The One says, it's all a bunch of FlowerPower™ made of empty words. He's going to open "America Houses" throughout the Islamic world? What's this, in addition to our embassies and consulates? What makes him think any of those countries will accept such a thing, with the Internet and libraries as we understand those terms? Most of those countries censor the Internet; a guy in Afghanistan was recently sentenced to death for possession of a Bible. Our embassies in those countries are regularly attacked and bombed. Will the "America houses" be any different? Not likely.

He's going to "create a Shared Security Partnership Program to forge an international intelligence and law enforcement infrastructure." This is the same dishonest trick Democrats have used for decades: announce something as new when it's something we've been doing for years. Obama either doesn't know we've been sharing intelligence — in which case he's not qualified to serve as an FBI agent, let alone president — or he's a liar. Which is even worse.

But you're right: no one in the press will call him on this stuff. They're too busy clapping and cheering every time he sneezes or farts.

None of that is of interest to the MSM. They have thrown all of their creditability into this election. They are consumed with getting the White House back. Their candidate could be Fidel Castro and that would be fine. They are giddy about Hussein Obama because for them he is everything, a socialist, a democrat and the race they profuse to help the most, a black.

Other than that he is absolutely nothing, an empty suit and perhaps the most inexperienced candidate ever to run for the office of President of the United States. He is a disaster waiting to happen....

Yeah....agreed....you’d think such a “force” would be a big deal.

Only thing I can figure is that after this idea came up, the campaign went to their reporters (all of them) and told them to deep six this.....

Sigh- even though I’m cynical I find it remarkable not one person has followed up.

Good work, Mom. How about Major Garrett...he stands up to the jerk. How about asking on his blog?

Yo, Mama!,

Take a deep breath. It is important “we” get Osama Obama nominated. Have seen his polling internals. They stink. We want to ensure the Dems do not see so many problems with him that they bite bullet and nominate the Hildabeast.

I realize that there is only a 5-15% chance of this happening, but that must be avoided at all costs, as HRC would be much harder to beat.

“It is important “we” get Osama Obama nominated.”

That is the last thing “we” want.

I am of two minds about that idea. IF Hillary had won the primaries and was the # 1 choice- yes- she would be tough to beat. However- if, for some reason they chose Hillary at the convention I think the Dem party would be in an uproar and split for years to come...making McCain’s election more, rather than less likely.

Their candidate could be Fidel Castro and that would be fine.

Interesting you mentioned Castro...

When the young leader spoke eloquently and passionately and denounced the old system, the press fell in love with him. They never questioned who his friends were or what he really believed in. When he said he would help the farmers and the poor and bring free medical care and education to all, everyone followed. When he said he would bring justice and equality to all, everyone said "Praise the Lord."

And when the young leader said, "I will be for change and I'll bring you change," everyone yelled, "Viva Fidel!"

Read this excellent thread on FR from a Cuban's perspective

Beware Charismatic Men Who Preach 'Change'

By the time everyone was equal, they were equally poor, hungry, and oppressed.

By the time the press noticed, it was too late, because they were now working for him.

A possibility, but remember, Al and Jessie would love that. They would be back in their positions of power, and they could do the “white man keepin’ us down” act for another decade.

Frank Rich, NYT’s Op-Ed

July 27, 2008

What drew them instead was the raw power Mr. Obama has amassed: the power to start shaping events and the power to move markets, including TV ratings. (Even “Access Hollywood” mustered a 20 percent audience jump by hosting the Obama family.) Power begets more power, absolutely.
