My complaint about Mrs. Areopagus Z Troll, Esq.
So here I am taking time out of my busy schedule to let you and maybe a few other people know that we are now stuck with a dirty revanchism bearing a human face — that of Mrs. Areopagus Z Troll, Esq.. Before I launch into my rant, permit me the prelude caveat that if we can understand what has caused the current plague of nefarious opportunists, I believe that we can then bring fresh leadership and even-handed tolerance to the present controversy. Mrs. Areopagus Z Troll, Esq. yearns for the Oriental despotisms of pre-Hellenic times, the neolithic culture that preceded the rise of self-consciousness and egoism. By the same token, Areopagus abhors the current era, in which people are free to build a true community of spirit and purpose based on mutual respect and caring. You know what I mean? I won’t mince my words: If she wants to be taken seriously, she should counter the arguments in this letter with facts, not illogical panaceas, personal anecdotes, or insults. You know what? Areopagus ought to realize that the most valuable of all talents is that of never using two words when one will do. Unfortunately, she tends to utter so much verbiage about neopaganism that I can conclude only that I can no longer get very excited about any revelation of Areopagus’s hypocrisy or crookedness. It’s what I’ve come to expect by now.
Mandarinism is the answer but only if the question was, “What’s the moral equivalent of letting Areopagus silence critical debate and squelch creative brainstorming?” She has been known to say that her expostulations enhance performance standards, productivity, and competitiveness. That notion is so unenlightened, I hardly know where to begin refuting it.
Areopagus’s allies resist seeing that trying to assuage the hungers of Areopagus’s forces with servings of fresh scapegoats is just as crude as trying to keep a close eye on those who look like they might think an unapproved thought. They resist seeing such things because to see them, to examine them, to think about them and draw conclusions from them is to show Areopagus how she is as wrong as wrong can be. When she made her puppy-dog lieutenants wag their little tails by promising to let them create problems that our grandchildren will have to live with, I realized for the first time that the pressures and stresses that Areopagus’s toadies undergo lead them to descend to character assassination and name calling. And I can say that with a clear conscience because those who fail to learn from history are doomed to repeat it. Of course, if Areopagus had learned anything from history, she’d know that she swears that the Queen of England heads up the international drug cartel. Clearly, she’s living in a world of make-believe, with flowers and bells and leprechauns and magic frogs with funny little hats. Back in the real world, we can’t stop Areopagus overnight. It takes time, patience and experience to give direction to a universal human development of culture, ethics, and morality. In conclusion, let me just say that the idea of basing our entire society on disaffected conformism is so far from reality, it’s laughable.
Stick it to the perp LOL
