We’ll head for blueberry picking in about 2 weeks. My friend and I take the kids about 2 weeks or so before school starts. We usually wind up with about 10 pounds of blueberries and 3 blue kids :)

We picked the last of our blueberries about two weeks ago. Blueberry season is one of those times of the year when we will actually have "breakfast for supper" at our house because we love blueberry pancakes so much.

I was able to make quite a bit of jam and froze enough to keep us in pancakes until next year, but I've been ill and didn't get to make the blueberry syrup that I was determined to put up this year.

Right in the middle of fig season right now ... searching for a copycat recipe for Fig Newton cookies and hoping that they will freeze well. Fig and lemon preserves is my hubby's favorite.
