McCain Veers Off Script, Talks About His Cancer Battle
The Wall Street Journal - Washington Wire ^ | 2008-07-25 | Elizabeth Holmes

Posted on 07/24/2008 10:05:32 PM PDT by rabscuttle385

The original draft of John McCain’s speech at the Livestrong Summit Thursday evening made no mention of his own struggle with cancer. The text made a jab at Barack Obama, emphasized the need for improved health care and vowed to take on the tobacco industry — but excluded all references to the Arizona senator’s bout with melanoma.

My motivations are not any of your business, troll. I don’t have to explain to anyone why I think or do anything. I don’t ask you about why you would rather see the Republican Party along with the nation destroyed simply to keep a man who is not to the standards of perfection you demand in a Republican. I don’t have to ask because I know the reason.

Reagan raised taxes so how about a rant about that?

I have been here 5 years and 3 days, I'm a noob to many but my grand kids still love and respect me! That's the most important thing. Your rules for the forum were very funny, and dead on.

Please try to ping your attack target next time. It's good FR etiquette.

... John McCain is light years better then Hussein ...

Sadly, still light years from being an acceptable candidate either.

...it’s about WINNING ...

That's the problem. Politics has become too much of a team sport. "My team must win, no matter what they have to do to pull it off." The cost of winning has become as high as the cost of losing.

McCain is part of the RINO cancer that's running amok within the GOP.

Well, God willing, at least he won't tell us about his polyps.

100% spot on! Always so much better to have one of your own leading you and the country off the same cliff instead of the opposition. Why, complete expropriation of all private property and elimination of all borders will be perfectly acceptable if it's a Republican administration doing it.

American in Tokyo is no loon. You, on the other, are proving yourself to be one handily.

Lessee—you’ve been here six months, and AIT about nine years. Who to listen to? Hmmmm?

Tell you what—I’ll take AIT’s word on ANYTHING before yours, capiche?

As far as the Perot voters, thanks to them we got the Republican Congress of 1994—which was the last Republican Congress with testicles. They lasted from January to November 1995.

And in spite of giving them victories since then(except for Dole ‘96/Congress 2006) the slide is further and further toward liberal Democrat policies.

Yeah, there’s a winning strategy.

I choose not to give my vote to anyone who is for amnesty or global warming.

Once those two things go into effect, America is finished as we know it. The judges, the military,Iraq, Iran, all those other things no longer matter once the battle is lost here at home.

Guess both liberal Democrats running for President don’t get my vote this year.

You don’t have to agree, but knock off insulting people I know, like AIT, who are more conservative and American than you can ever hope to be.

It is amusing, and perhaps a minor irritation, to say the least. Like swamp fleas in Louisiana.

Your premise is completely incorrect.

If I could agree with John McCain on 50% on the issues, he might get my vote.

My two issues are no amnesty of any kind and no global warming crap.

So, Juano doesn’t make 50%.

And another thing—you been here three months and who the heck are you to call American in Tokyo a Manchurian sleeper troll? He’s been here nine years, noob. He’s more of an American than you can hope to be.

But then again, I’ve noticed that civility and respect are sorely lacking in the newer McCainiacs on this board.

Chances are, with your head so far up McCain’s butt, YOU are the more likely candidate for Manchurian sleeper troll.

We don’t need you to tell us what is at stake here in this election. We have two liberal Democrats running for President, and neither loves this country enough to fight for it.

McCain can wrap himself in the flag all he wants, but that doesn’t change the fact, that with Amnesty and resultant chain migration, and strangling the economy on global warming baloney, America is finished as a superpower.

Then all the things you are crying about won’t matter worth a squat.

McCain is too busy wrapping himself in the Mexican flag to care for the little people here in the USA.

So your 2 arguments are someone’s been on a forum longer than I have, and that perot gave us a few months of a good congress (yeah right) and so we should resign ourselves to obama.

The symbolism of John McCain being in Mexico on July 4th came through loud and clear to me.

But, heck, it’s just what them maverick types do, donchaknow.
