Libya has taken "worryingly retaliatory measures" against Switzerland following the recent arrest of leader Colonel Muammar Gaddafi's son in Geneva, according to the Swiss Foreign Ministry.Col Gaddafi's government has recalled some of its diplomats from Switzerland, reduced flights between the countries, stopped processing visa requests from Swiss citizens, demanded the closure of Swiss firms in Libya and detained two Swiss citizens.
Swiss foreign minister Micheline Calmy-Rey has formally complained about the moves to her Libyan counterpart and has advised citizens not to travel to Libya.

I’m pretty sure Switzerland can do without Libya far easier than the other way around. If Qaddafi was serious he would drain all his numbered bank accounts, but being the hypocrite he is he wouldn’t do that. No other place in the world will be a safe for a dictator’s money than there.
His son, this “hannibal”, will be an absolute terror towards Europe when it’s his time to lead Libya. Watch for it.

I have wondered if among Kadaffi’s motives in giving up his programs (yes, despite trash talk here, he had more than 1 motive) was concerns over how his successor would use the programs he left to him.
Switzerland needs a General Scipio to deal with him.
The young man is just a dictator in training. He has learned he may misbehave and no one will stop him. The Swiss should deport him and never let him return.
Given that Switzerland is a de-facto member of the EU Libya must ask herself whether she wants to get into a pi$$ing contest with the EU which has a good deal of financial clout.
