Are any government funds being used for this memorial?
If yes, a lawsuit could be considered similar to those used by the ACLU to stop any public displays of crosses.

I am sick of the whole “memorial industry” that springs up in all these sites. Seems like the only folks who benefit are the lawyers. Ugh.
Put a nondescript obelisk on the site with a plaque. And let’s get on with the busienss of being American.
