FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:

Fenton, MI – July 23, 2008 – In a statement released today by America’s Independent Party, Chairman Tom Hoefling welcomed California’s American Independent Party to the growing ranks of AIP state affiliates.

Hoefling, commenting in the wake of a statement from the office of the California Secretary of State recognizing Edward C. Noonan as the rightful chairman of the American Independent Party and the legitimacy of the actions of the July 5th State Convention in Sacramento, said, “We gratefully accept the AIP State Central Committee’s decision to affiliate nationally with us. We share a common bond based on faith in God and a fundamental respect for America’s founding principles. We have the utmost confidence that the leaders of the American Independent Party share our vision for rebuilding politics in this country from the ground up. The California AIP is now the cornerstone of the new national AIP and the vanguard of the historic next stage of the modern conservative movement.”

America’s Independent Party is a conservative pro-life political party that stands for constitutionally limited government, national sovereignty, secure borders, economic liberty, and a Reaganesque “peace through strength” national defense and foreign policy. America’s Independent Party endorses or nominates candidates for public office based on a proven adherence to constitutional principle, not mere party labels.

Additionally, Hoefling praised the American Independent Party’s nomination of former Reagan Assistant Secretary of State Alan Keyes for President, saying, “With the complete failure of leadership in the Republican Party, it’s time for a new beginning for principled conservatives. Alan Keyes is laying the groundwork for the long-term revival in America of government of, by, and for the people. That’s why an overwhelming majority of us support him, and are working to place him on the ballot in as many states as possible, either as a party nominee or as an Independent candidate. The American people deserve to have a true conservative choice in November, not just another liberal echo.”

Go to the FEC. You’re not helpless.

They’re demonstrating better than I ever could have exactly what the Republican Party has become.

You do understand this is a Conservative site, and not a Republican site, don't you?

You appear to be his spokesman, put it up, otherwise it looks like you have something to hide. This whole thing looks like a way to hide money, or its a monumental ego stroke.

I’m done, I feel sorry for you, I hope Alan will overcome his ego and listen to the fact that no one wants him, has ever wanted him, or ever will. He passed from laughing stock to just a sad, egomaniac loser.

The so-called "conservative movement" is just as corrupted as the Republican Party now. Failed leadership as far as the eye can see.

The only way the republic is going to be saved is by regular folks who still have their principles intact.

The "names" are almost all too busy worrying about their petty political power and their financial feather beds to even see what's going on.

I asked you a question 3 times, each time you ran away from it.

Has Alan Keyes ever won an election? To any office that the public voted on? I want you to give me an answer.

Admitting is the first step to recovery.

He won two Republican primaries for the U.S. Senate. How many have you won?

Again, you dodge, has he ever won an election to an office?

How many things has he run for?

Has he ever won?

Ever?

This is not about me, or you, its about Keyes. Stay focused.

Answer my question, Has Keyes ever won an election to a public office? Ever. Not primaries, not the hearts and minds of people like you.

Just answer my question, its a very easy question, you can do it, I’m pulling for you. Simple question, you have no excuse for not answering, unless you are trying to hide something.

Answer the question.

If that's the way you feel, then I guess you don't belong here. Fortunately, I'm not the one to make that decision.

The only way the republic is going to be saved is by regular folks who still have their principles intact.

FINALLY, something you and I agree on !!!!!!!!!!! I don't care for your approach, or your answer, but that statement is 1000% correct !

No. You're the one who refuses to focus on what actually matters. You're living in the past. Worrying about money. Calculating outcomes. Getting bogged down in personalities. All the stuff that has destroyed the Republican Party and the conservative movement.

Try focusing on some bedrock principles. It will do you good.

The Republican Party's attitude towards conservatives, summed up.

OK let the record stand, you wouldn’t answer the simplest of questions.

Good luck with the campaign, just remember, they are laughing at you, not with you.

(for the record, Alan Keyes has never ever, not once, ever, won any race he has entered, and it has gotten worse each time, sorry that you were too much of a coward to answer)

Does Keyes plan on winning by having you make snide remarks? Are there public finance statements about this campaign and party? I have to think this is a way to put money in Keyes’ pocket. You sure this isn’t an Onion article

The only ones making snide remarks redcoat, are you and your two cohorts, dfwddr and Patrick1. You evidently have a comprehension problem as you couldn't seem to understand the Keyes was the nominee, it was perfectly clear in the EVs statements. He was being very polite as far as I could see and you 3 a**hats are lucky I wasn't the one you were talking to, or maybe I was the lucky one because I would probably be banned by now for saying what I think of your rude, ill mannered Bull Shit that you have been putting out.

It is plain to see that you guys are working as a team, trying to disrupt this thread. You don't like the thread, then please take your smarmy asses off it and let other people get comments in. Don't want to join the AIP(and don't think I missed your deliberately using the wrong initials)? Then please, don't vote for keys, don't listen to conference calls.

You guys are terrified someone might pull a vote or two away from McCain, it is very obvious in your bull shit comments. Let me clue you in, if McCain loses any conservative votes it is because he is anything except a conservative. He is arrogant, stupid in many ways, he is hung up on global warming, open borders and has thrown the base under the bus. I will probably vote for him but after this election I will work my tail off trying to get a new conservative party started and I won't be the only one doing it. The republican party has signed their death warrant with this forcing us to take McCain as our nominee and by dumping all conservative principals and it is doomed to die, whether you think so or not. Now, to paraphrase you dfwddr, please don't bother to respond because I have seen all of the workings of your 3 tiny minds I care to for one night.

George Wallace wasn't the high point, that was in '72 when they ran John Schmitz. Schmitz, the father of Mary Kay Letourneau, was booted from the John Birch Society for being a nut. He was also outed as the father of two illegitimate children when the mother sought medical help for one of them for a hair tied so tightly around its pecker that the pecker was almost severed.

The party has gone downhill from there.

I hardly consider Keyes a ‘joke’. He has a brilliant mind. He is a powerful speaker and a true American in every sense of the word - as is Duncan Hunter, my first choice for president.
You have denigrated two fine men.

That said, I will be voting for McCain. It’s too late for grass-roots efforts and it is too close to the elections. Obama would be a disaster beyond words. Don’t ask me how it came to this point. We had a brilliant lineup of candidates.

I will probably end up voting for McCain, and Dr. Keyes has had a lot of organizational problems, BUT, if McCain becomes even more intollerable than he already is, Dr. Keyes is the only candidate running that I could vote for in good conscience.
