“Did you catch the interview a couple of months back by People Magazine with Michelle Obama?
“In the interview she revealed that she and her husband did not by their children birthday presents or Christmas gifts. She was trying to make a point that the children were not spoilt brats, but her revelation struck me as bizarre. Who doesn’t buy their kids birthday presents? How could such wealthy people be so mean?
“They have obviously been maintaining this practice for years. Their kids attend other kid’s birthday parties so they know that other kids are getting gifts, yet they don’t get any themselves. How would their parents explain this to them?
“Guess what. Muslims don’t give birthday gifts.”
