Traditionally, the senate confirms judicial nominations on a basis of what party was elected. The Borking changed that. McQueeg still observes the tradition. Ruth Buzzy Ginsberg was confirmed 96-3, are you going to rank on Strom Thurmond, Domenici and Hatch voting for her too? You need to find a better straw man to justify your temper tantrum.

Look, McCain talks to a Conservative group in early May and states he will appoint Roberts and Scalias to the court. He then appears in front of a leftist group in June and states he voted for Ginsberg and Breyer, not to worry.
He’s promising both groups they have nothing to fear from him with regard to judicial appointments.
I am merely reporting what he has done. And you refer to this as me using a straw man argument. Bud, it’s McCain’s own tactics. Write him a note and bitch to him.
