FReepers are brilliant. So I have an immodest proposal for you all that could work a major coup in knocking Obama off his horse in the upcoming rally at the Victory Column in Berlin.
Imagine the scene: Thousands of people, probably a lot of young, mushheaded lefties, probably a lot of swooning. Obama is introduced. The crowd roars. He waves in appreciation, grinning broadly. After a respectable few moments of basking in the adulation, he motions for the crowd to settle down to hear his prophetic words. He begins to speak, warming to a theme of kumbaya fuzzy warm one worldness. The crowd is mesmerized. The eyes of the world watch him as the speech goes out on global satellite uplink to the billions of masses.

Cinematic, perhaps, but not practical.
It is berlin you are talking about and the weather is wonderful. The media loves him the german people especially the youth loves him and he will get the picture he wants and even more in my opinion. There live 20000 americans in Berlin most of them democrats but that would be the only source where you probably will find people in germany willing to protest against Obama.
Germans like democrats and hate republicans in general but Bush was the absolute low i couldn´t imagine anybody more unpopular here and so Obama is seen as the perfect guy who brings back the good america after eight years of absolute evil.
That´s the reality we live here and that´s the reason at least in my opinion he speaks in germany. You have the symbols from the Kennedy speech to brandeburg gate and you have the huge support while you can easily show the pictures where german masses demonstrating against Bush while they will celebrate Obama like a pop star.
Sorry but at least germans are not allowed to vote
