Does FL have an income tax? I know they have real estate/property taxes. How does his deduction for real estate show up on his IRS forms ... if he files?

I’m not allowed to post to the other guy. Children can live 2 months in the senior community in Fla. As far as I know, you can claim the residence, even if you don’t own it. Rent, roommates and all that. His explanation will be second home, kids in school where I work, get to Fla when we can.
