I think most Americans would be on some “spectrum syndrome” list if these shrinks had their way. We’d all be drugged zombies.

Political Correctness is very much in play here. It plays a big role in misdirecting who we should be angered with.
From what I’ve seen repeatedly, PC mavens operate like this.
On the surface they sound compassionate. But they will always make a much bigger stink over “hurt feelings” than physical threats to the same people. Leftists will get angry at someone who warns parents of school-system child abuse, and then turn around and give early parole to a convicted child abuser.
These people will be sooner go after those who shout an alarm “Be careful! Don’t be a fool.” than those who slyly say “there there sweetheart, come into my pretty parlor.”
We are seeing them at work against Savage.
Savage says “Watch out! You could be buying a diagnosis and treatment that you really should be wary of.” Those who want or need those victims don’t want Savage (or anyone else they hope to scare off by their abuse of Savage’s right to be outspoken) getting between them and their paycheck or power.
