Obama’s Dress Code for Sweetie
According to Politico’s Carrie Budoff Brown, who is accompanying Obama on his trip to the Middle East and Europe, Obama’s campaign sent out a “dress code” that especially targeted female reporters as to the appropriate attire while traveling in Israel and Jordan.Obama press told to cover up, not wear green. No green. That is the color of Hamas. Also no nail polish, a limited amount of jewelry, covered shoulders and arms, closed-toed shoes, and stockings for women. (Do they make stockings anymore?) Women must also be prepared to cover their heads.

Definitely cover your shoulders. For men, pants. For women, pants or a longish skirt. I wouldn’t take a chance on capris. I took a sundress that was calf length, but it had a short sleeve jacket that went over the dress. I probably had sandals on, but I don’t remember.

Our founding fathers considered freedom of religion an undeniable right. When our citizens are prohibited from practicing their faith abroad, we should be pushing forth the same type of sanctions that millions of Marxists pushed on South Africa to see that Mr. and Mrs. Mandella were called saviors despite flaming necklaces and alliances with Qadaffi.
It was right to see the end of Apartheid. It was wrong to champion the Mandelas. Why aren't we seeking an end to Apartheid in Saudi Arabia and elsewhere?
I seem to recall the media focusing on the style of dress by the FLDS women in West Texas as a “sign” of their oppression. Where are these social critics when it comes to Obama’s tour of the Muddled East?

OPINION:
I would like to laugh, but really it’s not funny.
It’s more than a code of etiquette for dress standards; it’s something more on the lines of something the Taliban might issue or standards the “morals police” enforce in various islamic-dominated countries.

I saw a young woman in St. Peter’s who borrowed some kind of wrap around thing from someone and when she got it inside, she took it off to reveal a very short skirt that just covered her crotch. Rude. There is no admission fee to see this sacred Christian place, just a simple request to dress conservatively. If you don’t like the request, stay out. But she had to make her ‘statement’.

Obama is catering to muslims in regard to dress code....trying to butter them up by telling the female US news core to make themselves presentable.
