According to Politico’s Carrie Budoff Brown, who is accompanying Obama on his trip to the Middle East and Europe, Obama’s campaign sent out a “dress code” that especially targeted female reporters as to the appropriate attire while traveling in Israel and Jordan.Obama press told to cover up, not wear green. No green. That is the color of Hamas. Also no nail polish, a limited amount of jewelry, covered shoulders and arms, closed-toed shoes, and stockings for women. (Do they make stockings anymore?) Women must also be prepared to cover their heads.

That is the typical liberal stance that ousBAMA is repeating over and over confusing the respect due to the people,the persons,and the approval of their ideas and civilization...That kind of multicultural stupidity will lead the world in a big mess and huge “civil” wars.

unlike Laura and Condi who don’t bow to such nonsense... though Laura Bush recieved some critisism last year on her 'Breast Cancer Awareness Tour' trip to the middle east for doing just that - wearing a head-scarf (in Saudi Arabia).
Personally I think it's good custom to respect local dresscodes when travelling, even if it may be uncomfortable. This is of course especially true when visiting sites of religious significance.
While most western countries pride themselves by being liberal in this sense (for better or worse), I think we'd all raise an eyebrow (or two) if a New Guinea tribesman walked down our streets in their traditional outfit. It would be interesting and a good chuckle, but some might find the... uhm... tube a little too revealing ;)
When I was an Army officer stationed in West Germany, you wouldn’t believe what some soldiers and their wives would wear in public. Mostly ghetto dress, and some of it was disgusting.
Spandex on the obese
Underwear as outer garments (bras, etc. during the time of Madonna)
Offensive t-shirts
Sweatsuits that still had mud on the ass from doing sit-ups in a dirty field
Finally, the community commanders (usually Coloness or Brigadier Generals) put a stop to it and had MPs detain Americans who refused to dress appropriately.
Wonder if he had to remind them to wear underwear a la Klintoon and his staff?

Is that so? Kinda like the evironazis. Submit to us or you will pay the price. islam is trying to force all of the world to capitulate to their way of life. Same with the greenies. So the color can be used with both factions. How appropriate.
This just impresses me on how smart and prepared the Obama campaign is.
