A New Jersey man trying to exterminate insects in his apartment blew it up instead, the New York Daily News reported on Monday.
The accident occurred as Maceda was spraying for pests in his kitchen. Somehow the bug spray ignited a blast that blew out the apartment's front windows and triggered a fire that quickly spread, the newspaper said.

Whatever happens today, at least I can say my day wasn’t that bad.
I saw the Mythbuster do that to an apartment unit. It took a LOT of bug spray, but it blowed up real good.

Did it work?
No apartment, no bugs, no problem!
Must have violated the 48 hour rule.

KARL: Yep!...In your bedroom too Mr. Seinfeld. You’ve got a full outbreak of fleas on your hands.
JERRY: I don’t get this. How did this happen. I don’t have a dog.
KARL: I don’t explain ‘em Mr. Seinfeld. I just exterminate them.
JERRY: I don’t understand this..
KARL: I ‘m gonna have to seal the place up for 48 hours and fog it. That’s the only way to get rid of them.
A good explosion will kill ‘em dead every time!
This happened in Chicago years ago when a guy set off about a dozen of those roach bombs and the gas stove pilot lit it up. Leveled a two story building.
And you just know, somehow, the cockroaches survived the blast.

Reminds me of the story of the old guy in Arizona who found and caught a mouse in his house, he made a big bonfire outside his house to burn the mouse allive on, and when he tossed the mouse on the fire, the mouse caught on fire..and ran into the man’s kitchen window catching the curtains on fire, and the man’s house burned down.
I have this picture in my mind of Carl the Greenskeeper from Caddyshack trying to blow up Mr. Gopher.
Gotta love that old pilot light....
Isobutane propellant, anyone?
At least the ozone layer is safe...(/sarc)
That’ll teach those bugs. Maybe he should have just cleaned his place more often.

That will show them damn bugs!
You reach out so well from so far!

Bet it killed the bugs!
