The McCain campaign is out with another contrast ad, and this one suggests that Senator Barack Obama bears some of the responsibility for skyrocketing gas prices. Who can you thank for rising prices at the pump? the announcer in the ad asks as a still-shot of Mr. Obama fills the screen and an unseen crowd chants, Obama! Obama! Subtle? Not so much. The 30-second spot highlights Senator John McCains support for more offshore drilling to wean the country off its dependence on foreign oil. One man knows we must now drill more in America and rescue our family budgets, the announcer says. Dont hope for more energy, vote for it.

This is an amazing ad. Concise, direct, and masterfully made.
I suppose that this is a step in the right direction. Actually, it’s dumb to suggest (as the ad clearly does) that Barack Obama is personally responsible for rising gas prices (as opposed to saying, for example, that Hussein has no practical solution to rising gas prices, and that he supports the Congressional Democrats refusal to increase domestic energy production). All BHO’s people have to do is contrast McCain’s thirty-something years of inactivity on energy policy in the Congress to Barack’s relatively few years in the Senate. Old Softy McCain just didn’t want to indict his Congressional Democrat pals for their “no drilling, nowhere, no way” policies.
Brilliant, make the election Drill or No Drill.
If you like $4/gal, Thank Congress. If you want $10, Vote Obama.

Osama is on record saying that he doesn’t necessarily object to the high price of gas, only that it rose too fast.
THAT is what we should be hanging him on.
Countdown until he renounces it for being too hurtful...
Why did he leave out Congress !
This is a good start. Gas prices alone, along with Americans not wanting to cut and run will give him a good chance at winning.
