This same thing happened at UT Knoxville. Now, if weapons are illegal on campus, what about the National Guard Armory or Army Reserve Armory on Campus? The AR Armory at UT has hundreds of M-16’s, M1911 Colts, machine guns and a few BMG’s, all were located by Stokely Athletic Center. No guns on campus...just tell the Army that...

For what I know, there are NO weapons stored on UW-Madison property except for the UW-Madison Police Department.

At University of California Davis, you can only transport a gun to and from the gun range. You also have to get some kind of waiver from the campus police ahead of time. I believe they kept guns at the range armory for people on the shooting teams, but I'd have to ask my buddy who was in ROTC.

As far as I know, ignorance of the law is still not a valid excuse, although it could be if the law is written with 'malicious intent' in mind.
