ANSWER: Romney cheats.

For example, why did the Diebold Machines in New Hampshire show large anomalous votes ONLY for Romney?
Romney got 7.5% greater votes when machines were used over ballots compared to all other candidates.
(The others had variations of .09 to 2.6%)

The standard deviation was 1.23, so 7.5% is WAY outside the norm.

I was really disappointed when Romney gave his speech as he bowed out on ‘concession night’. He would have won the nomination if he been bold enough to be that guy throughout the campaign. He was not, is not, and as a result, I don’t think he can help McCain, at least not on the ticket. Make him a cabinet member, maybe.

I don't think it has effected the real deal conservative to any great degree long term. Those of us here on FR and other such places who are actively paying attention are not fooled despite the best efforts of the supporters of these moderates, and the others, they are not paying attention. So in effect you are right, it should be a wake up call, but the masses keep hitting the damn snooze button. They will wake up when they can't pay their bills and interest rates are double digits.
