Once upon a time, people who wanted to be president were not expected to admit it in public. This mask of false indifference had to be dropped when the rise of primaries forced candidates to campaign actively for the office.

Here's another interesting article from the Boston Globe.
McCain praises Romney on the campaign trail.
"Mitt has been doing such a great job lately on my behalf, I said only half in jest, he's doing a better job for me than he did for himself," McCain said, according to a press pool report. "And in case you missed it, as short a time ago as this morning, Mitt has been on the shows, not only defending, but standing up for the things that we believe in, are important to the future of the country."
McCain then praised Romney's wife, Ann, who is battling multiple sclerosis, as "a woman of courage and beauty and grace."

By not voting for the ticket they are essentially voting for Marxist Obama.

It would probably be the only way I would ever vote for McCrazy.

any man who can go on national TV and argue so intensely FOR abortion and even FOR allowing underage girls to get an abortion with or without parental permission as long as she gets a judges approval is no conservative, no Republican, no Christian, not even a man at all. Not then. Not now. Not ever. This evil being has no moral bedrock. Jim Robinson

He has very articulately explained why is he against abortion now.

By not voting for the ticket they are essentially voting for Marxist Obama. If I wanted to vote for a Liberal, I would do as most American voters have in the past: vote for the more Liberal in the Liberal party. McCain alone, or with the Liberal past of Romney tacked on, is only going to erode his support among the Right. The squishy Center will decide at the end as usual that they want the real deal.

I think it’s a lot harder than we think working in a state full of libs.
By all accounts Mitt did the best job he could.

By not voting for the ticket they are essentially voting for Marxist Obama. However, if they vote third party (and not for Obama), then they are essentially voting for McCain. Right?

As soon as Romney falls down on his knees on national TV in front of God and everyone; and repents and begs for forgiveness for all the innocent young lives that were murdered in the womb on his watch after he ran on the pro-abortion platform, then I will consider it. If the man had any integrity at all, hed resign and spend the rest of his life and the rest of his money trying to undo some of the wrong hes done. But not as president. That office is reserved for honest men of the highest character and integrity. Jim Robinson

Okay, how many times is this trial balloon going to be floated??? Unfortunately, it seems about every 3-4 hours until the GOP Convention -- unless the Rockefeller wing of the Republican Party sees their wish come true before then.
