It cracks me up that there are still operatives trolling the net trying to boost the prospects that McCain would consider selecting a Masschusetts liberal to be his running mate. McCain didn’t get this far by entertaining political suicide.

The Mitt buzz continues. I just like him. Lots of folks that do not follow politics all that closely just like him. Thanks for the ping.

I wish they would put this Mitt Romney stuff to rest. He brings no excitement, interest, or value to McCain’s ticket, he wasn’t even popular within the republican base during the primaries, he got blown out. Romney should be a cabinet appointee if anything. And this whole economic credibility thing is bs to voters. Bring in a genuine conservative who can talk and can energize the U.S. populace in this incredibly drab election cycle. McCain should ask Jindal to be his running mate.

It doesn't matter what Mitt's politics are/were/whatever...he'll be parroting McCain as VP. It's all about appearances now...Mitt makes McCain look about 100 years old....and I don't think McCain wants to contend with that. I'd say Joementum has a better chance...he's been been begging for it...following McCain around like a puppy.

The ONLY way I can vote for LIBERAL, McPain is if CONSERVATIVE Mitt is VP. Otherwise, I stay home and don’t vote.

Stop it! Look at us! We look like a bunch of G—damned fifth graders!
“Mitt’s conservative, not he’s not, yes he is, I’m voting for Obama, I’m voting McCain, no I’m not, blah blah blah blah.”
I can’t stand the bickering. While we’re arguing, the Obama campaign is drawing up plans to make us the next Soviet Union.

Interesting tidbit at
American Spectator :
MITT MATCH
While Mitt Romney's set of paid PR minions are busy pushing out Mitt for Vice President spin, McCain campaign insiders say that while it's true they have polled Romney on the bottom of the ticket, the data confirms that such a move would be a political disaster for the party.
"Mitt tanks the ticket," says a McCain insider. "We lose fiscal conservatives. We lose social conservatives. We lose Catholics. We lose evangelicals. All the groups were spending time and money on bringing into the camp would be lost. He just doesn't help us enough to do something like this, as much as Mitt might think we should. He doesn't even win us Massachusetts."

No naming of the paid PR minions, nor the McCain source. |
