I've used both over the years, but rely on Word now. If WP was that good, it would lead the industry by now, which it doesn't. Whatever your reasons for hating MS, that's fine. However, the market says you're in a minority. And please, don't give me that pedestrian "operating system monopoly" argument. I understand Microsoft has warts, but you can't get to their position in world markets without doing most things right.

You’re right, the business masses have accepted MS over other applications overwhelmingly; it doesn’t mean that they’re getting the best out there, only getting a comprehensive package that performs fairly well. If you look at cross-compatibility across their own applications, you’ll still see where some things can be imported from their own S/W apps but others not. Likewise, I think the MS human factors consultants, or whatever you call the dweebs that perpetrated these ‘paper clips’ ‘helpful hints’ and all of the other little nuisance time wasters should be forced to actually use their work.
