That’s a pretty quick duck and run, even without any sniper fire. Makes him America’s hero, right up there with Hilarity.

Keep up the good work, Major. God bless.

I spoke to a few soldiers who shook his hand but privately told me they would never vote for him.

I hope he at least waved to the troops...Hussein wouldn’t want the little baby killer soldiers to get all disappointed would he? I just “hope” nobody panted a bulls eye on the plane...

Good report. I spent about 4 months at JAF after the extra Brigade was added...had a bit of overlap with the 173rd.

Best wishes for y’all. Did Obama have time to buy some bread? How about his detailed discussions with local commanders? Time in the Chow Hall? Did he have a chance to enjoy both aisles of the PX? Did he even have time to use a latrine?

Inquiring minds want to know...

... landed about 1515 local and was gone by 1800,...

Just long enough to go to the airport gift shop, get a pressie photo taken, visit the head, make sure the passport was stamped and reboard the plane.

How brave of him...a whole 3 hours!

Hell, he's practically a veteran now.

Did this guy get off the plane or did he just sit there and wait for them to refuel? This guy is a joke.

2 hours 45 minutes, just enough time to fill up.

It’s not a joke, it just sounds like one...but in all fairness I understand he went to Kabul and Kandahar as well.

Will he also be invading Pakistan while he’s in the area?

Let’s see if he spends the same amount of time getting familiarized with other, just as critical, areas like Paris.

Perhaps if stayed longer he would have been called to the Islamic prayer.

Hell, he's practically a veteran now.

Yeah, and if he bumped his head getting out of the airplane, he can get himself a 'John Kerry' Purple Heart.

Obama in Afghanistan for a grand total of 2 hours and 45 minutes. Wow, he's a quick study! He's surely qualified to claim foreign policy and military expertise now.

Thanks, Major, for the report from the ground. It'll be even more interesting to see how his embedded journalists report this "event" after reading your post. Thank you for your service, sir.
