His sister told Smith that Ramirez "was not a vegetable literally speaking at all" -- "He was a human with a life and deserved his dignity." Yet the culture of death NEVER wants to acknowledge a person's humanity.

Where have we seen THIS complicating factor before . . . ?
The case points to concerns over family members who may have other agendas or something other than the best interest of the patient in mind when making the medical decisions. "Because of their tumultuous marriage, his wife was not in the best position to make a determination as to whether he should continue on life support," Alexander said. "His aunt has said that she suspects his wife was trying to get rid of him. Ramirez had long suspected that his wife was having extramarital affairs on him."

The death dealers sacrifice their own humanity, and accuse their intended victims of having no humanity.

When does death occur? When the heart and lungs stop working on their own. Otherwise there is still hope for life like the Ramirez case.

As we sink into socialized medicine these decisions will be increasingly made on a cost vs societal benefit basis. Of course, the same will hold true of all medical care. Any private health care will be forbidden so as not to weaken the state run system.

And yet the medical staff and facility participated and agreed on what could of happenedIt's sad what passes for English, these days.
"Could of"?
I know what "could have" means and I also know what "could've" means.
But, what does "Could of" mean? /sarcasm

Since you pointed out the quote from his sister, can you explain what she said?
