Interesting, the headline makes it read like it was Obama’s choice. Is that correct, or did the Germans say nein?

From wiki
In 1963, U.S. President John F. Kennedy visited the Brandenburg Gate.

I believe the Germans advised him that only Presidents have spoken at the Brandenburg Gate - Kennedy and Reagan - and that it wouldn’t be appropriate. Check Dr. Krauthammer’s column in WaPo today - he really blasts this conceited little schmuck and tells him hasn’t earned the right to speak at Brandenburg.

Translation: Germans tell Obama to take his silly photo op elsewhere. Brandenburg is reserved for genuine heroes.

German media say the Democrat will hold a major campaign event at Berlins Victory Column I wonder if he even realizes that this is a meaningless column. What wars or major events have the Germans actually WON in the last 100 years?
The Berlin Wall falling? Thank the USA.
World War I : Yeah THAT was a good idea.
World War II : An even better idea.
Does the arab hitler wannabe even realize the irony involved that this campaigning next to a German victory column?

Barry could make a speech behind the Berlin WalMart and tell his constituents it was the Brandenburg Gate. They wouldn’t know the difference. Or care.

"Does the arab hitler wannabe even realize the irony involved that this campaigning next to a German victory column?" I'm thinking the French victory column is more Hussein Obama's speed.
But did you hear him talking tough the other day? Boy he can talk tough can't he? Yep, he can sure talk tough.
He must be a military genius with all that tough talk.
