Oh boy! We haven’t had a TWA 800 paranoia-fest around here in I don’t know how long. Good thing it looks to be a slow day at work.
Bring back the home video that was shown by various talking heads of the MSM.
Guess the USAF accident from the same cause decades ago - followed up by them placing inert gas in the empty fuel tanks of their tankers was a prelude to the cover up, eh? The accident occurred because airline execs are in the class of extremely stupid and inept. Always have been. Always will be - until next year, when there will be none left (airlines, that is).
I know the anti-conspiracy flame throwers will be along in a minute, so I’ll make this quick.
TWA 800 was brought down by something external, not internal.
/hardhat on
“They” say the only difference in a sea story and a fairy tale is that a fairy tale begins, Once Upon A Time, whereas, a sea story starts out, Now, This is no sh!t!
Take your pick.
I think that's why they call it "the MANAGED media".
The NY Times et al has received their orders.
Man-o-Man, where is Micheal Rubio when you need him? /s/
Couple of things I always wonder about the TWA 800.
One is that John Kerry lumped TWA 800 in with other terrorists acts against America in a interview that he gave on the night of September 11th.
Another is that Al Gore chaired a commission about airline security right after TWA 800. Why would the government be worried about airline security if TWA 800 was caused by fuel tank explosion?
On the other hand, Kerry and Gore are dolts so maybe I reading too much into their actions and words. I really haven’t read enough about TWA 800 to form an opinion.
Feeding the paranoids.
I didn’t initially buy into the shootdown theory of TWA 800, but I am starting to be convinced. I recently picked up a book off the remainder shelf by Nelson DeMille (an author whose work I respect) called Night Fall.
DeMille doesn’t pretend that his novel is a scientific investigation of the crash, but he does try to present all sides (according to the disclaimer at the front of the book) based on the post-crash investigation. I’m just starting into the book and he is presenting some information about the number of eye witnesses I initially dismissed after the original investigation.
In restrospect, the official cause of the explosion and crash doesn’t make a lot of sense. The 747 has been around for a VERY long time and if the fuel tank pump were REALLY a problem, there should have been MANY explosions and crashes of 747s related to the same cause. Also, that the FAA took so long to finally order a change to the 747 center fuel tank after so many years, raises questions (and eyebrows). If this is truly as severe a problem as it would seem to be, the FAA should have acted on it years ago.
The whole thing is looking a lot more fishy and smell a lot more than it did 12 years ago.
I’m more convinced of islamic terrorists was involved with OKC - evidence is more overwhelming.
I think that TWA-800 and the OKC bombing are terrorist related as well...from what I’ve read and remember there’s too many things that got sweeped away to believe the official storyline.
There are alot of older threads here on FR concerning both of these incidents...as well as ‘First Strike’ and ‘The Third Terrorist’ written bt Cashill and davis respectively.
